One of the common problems customers encounter when using a router is unable to log-in. This article can help you resolve issues when logging-in to your router. First and foremost, you have to connect the router and computer directly using an Ethernet cable, and put an end on one of the router LAN ports, making sure that both ends are secure. Inspect for the Internet LED to make sure it is lit, and troubleshoot the light status as instructed in the manual. The LEDs for the LAN ports should be lit, and try to move the cable to a different port if they are not lit up. There should also be a lit on the LED of the Ethernet adapter. Inspect to see if your computer is connected to your router by selecting start, run, and type ping 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 and if your computer is not connected once a message appears saying “Request timed out”.
